Ibanez: RGA42T

I saw this Ibanez RGA42T (new for 2011- look at the new bridge in there...) at Swee Lee's Sims Drive warehouse during the last sale (5th June '11). Have been wanting to try it because I handled it during the sale day & it was one heavy guitar. I managed to try it yesterday at the Bras Basah showroom instead & I was right about the tone- it features a pair of active pickups so any hope of the instrument's weight contributing to the tone was diminished by the circuitry.

Ibanez: GRG150DBX

This is one of the new Ibanez guitars @ Swee Lee (BB showroom) going for a good price of $299 (Nett). The yellow bits in there are the main repugnance, otherwise, this GRG150 is a very decent offering for the price &, more importantly, the QC. The overall tone from this one is surprisingly more full-sounding cpmpared to the RG350M- you can hear the low end from the in-house Powersound pickups despite them not being impressive in this consideration. However, do not expect a slim Wizard experience here but the neck's is still shred-worthy.

Ibanez: RG350M

I'm just home from Swee Lee- received a text message from brother Faizal (BB showroom), alerting me of more 2011 Ibanez models making it in store. One of them is the fantastic RG350M, I'm alerting you of the limited period NETT price for this instrument: $595 (bag not included). So if you are interested, I'd say it's a good time to buy...

More importantly, I was there to check out the neck profile consistency- I'm happy to affirm the 'return to form' of the Wizard II necks which are slimmer (if you could feel the difference) than its predecessors despite the manufacturer documenting exact dimensions for them.
