Carmen get it.

The other fresh attraction at SV Guitars is Dr. Z amplifier. I had the chance to try the Carmen Ghia combo & it certainly has one of the best cleans around. It's not the Fender clunk you would hear but a warm, clean offering, much in line with Blackstar & Marshall to put it simply. That tone knob there is a peculiar control unit & doesn't work like a traditional feature where you'd get more treble upon turning it clockwise. There are some sweet spots to be heard so it's best turned incrementally but once you reach maximum at around 5 o'clock, there is a total truncation of treble- be warned (it's not a design anomaly but one specified by the manufacturer). I did get a chance to plug some pedals in & the Dr. Z magic here is that you'd be able to hear the warm tube responses at the background making sure your set up isn't too synthetic tone-wise. Maybe this is why it's a preferred recording amplifier.
