Ibanez GART60

Since I posted the price detail for the GART80EX & feeling a little frustrated thereafter, it prompted me to make another trip to Swee Lee to re-look at the GART range. I'm not propelling these models as outstanding guitars for your definite considerations but they manifest good QC for the money; this is a fair assessment of the GART range.

Last evening I managed to re-try the GART60, the less cosmetic brother of the GART80EX. It also sports a pair of in-house pickups, adding to the more pocket-friendly price tag. What made the GART80EX more appealing to me is the overall tone but that's the deception of the pickups- those EMG-HZs are really the works for distortion applications. The GART60 avoided being inclined to any tonal preference but I believe, it could be souped up in this aspect by replacing those STD humbuckers to one's preferred units.

So for the most part of last evening's guitar outing, it was about convincing myself that the GART80EX is something I could do without because the GART60 was as good. The GART60 is listing for $519, the difference here could get me another guitar...
