Spent a good time indoors yesterday playing my RG471AH... I was unwell anyway so staying home made perfect sense. Someone commented that this is another one of my guitars which looks like my floor but no bits of my flooring were sacrificed to make this happen. That body wood there is ash but it doesn't weigh a tonne, it's also satin finished. Ibanez did something to the neck; feels like the D-profile had been rounded off to manifest a smoother, more continuous feel. It also feels slightly thinner to the touch- all this might be psychological, though.
Have to thank Ibanez for that wonderful easy access truss rod cover.
The body's rear view- I dismissed this one as a 3-piece but it's actually a 2-piece upon a closer look.
Ibanez's INF pickups are likable if you do intense distortion 24/7, otherwise, it could do better in terms of tonal dynamics. I already have a Duncan replacement for the neck, Janet (@ Davis GMC) had ordered a Custom trembucker for me so I'm shopping for a suitable middle single coil in the mean time.
PS: Thank you Mr. Brendon @ BGW for this wonderful acquisition
